How does hypnotherapy help us quit smoking?
Hypnotherapy brings us closer to the functionality of our intellectual mind. This is the mind that brings allows us to discover solutions, creativity, insight and intuition. We are not designed to smoke and no one who rationally looks at smoking will continue to smoke. Smoking is an unnatural act and since our natural response when we first try smoking is to cough and become sick, we know this is the case. Probably the biggest evidence we have against smoking is the fact that nicotine is a highly toxic nerve poison.
There are numerous statistics and facts that converge on one point – smoking is detrimental to your health, finances, relationships, your profession, environment… Not to mention the fact that smoking can increase the likelihood of depression and facts show that half of our serotonin is destroyed when we smoke.
The good news is, you are naturally a non-smoker and that is verified by our original pristine nature and by the fact that smoking causes many chronic and fatal conditions. Since smoking is an emotional and non intellectual thing to do, we can become free from cigarette smoking by literally intellectually assessing what smoking is. So from the first point of contact, I address you as a non-smoker.
My smoke cessation session last for two hours and during that time we learn the history of how cigarettes became the product we know today, how it has been deceptively marketed, how it effects our health and how we can benefit straight away once we quit. The use of positive affirmations, positive reinforcement of the goal – to quit smoking once and for all, and the creation of an inner image of the new you as being healthy and free from smoking.
Whilst my stop smoking hypnotherapy is complete in one session, there are no guarantees, but I am confident that once you have chosen to book a session with me, you will be truely ready to get rid of your smoking habit.
