Stress is a fascinating subject.  Just like any pursuit, it takes specific tasks to help us to manage stress.  If you have too much stress, your mind and body will break apart with an over abundance of stress hormones and the cascade of detrimental effects.  Stress makes us dumb and sick.  An effective exercise is to draw a mental line and say that regardless of what is painful or difficult, you have control.  One way I deal with stress is to say, I will do this later.  This way I can come back to the situation with more clarity.  Another old tested way is to take a walk around the block.  Keep working on ways that work for you.  If you need to talk to me about effective stress management, I would be happy to help.
